Hawzah News Agency- Hundreds of protesters gathered in Oranienplatz Square on Sunday, where they condemned Germany’s continued sale of weapons to Israel, demanding that the Israeli authorities release Palestinian prisoners and bring the head of the Israeli government Benjamin Netanyahu to justice.
The protesters, who marched toward the Südstern Metro Station, carried Palestinian flags and banners bearing slogans such as “Freedom for Palestine”, “Israel tramples on human rights”, “Stop the genocide”, “Netanyahu to court”, and “Boycott Israel”.
The protesters also chanted slogans such as “Zionism is a crime”, “Freedom for Palestine”, and “Gaza is in a difficult situation, thousands of children are freezing there”.
At the beginning of this week, 37 Palestinians were killed within approximately 24 hours in Israeli airstrikes that targeted various areas of the Gaza Strip, where about 2.4 million Palestinian citizens live, including 1.5 million displaced people, under catastrophic conditions.
On October 10 of last year, the ceasefire in Gaza went into effect, however the occupation army continued to violate the agreement and committed massacres against the Palestinian people in the Strip.
The Israeli war of genocide on Gaza resulted in more than 71,000 martyrs and more than 171,000 wounded Palestinians, in addition to widespread destruction that affected about 90 percent of civilian infrastructure, with reconstruction costs estimated by the United Nations at about 70 billion dollars.
